Orphei Drängar

Orphei Drängar, known internationally as OD, is a modern male-voice choir, based in the Swedish University City of Uppsala. The choir, which dates back to 1853, has always been a torch bearer of the great Swedish choral tradition, in addition to playing an important international role in the development of the male-voice choir in modern music

Musicals and visit from the Royal Dramatic Theatre on Orphei Drängar's spring program

The male-voice choir Orphei Drängar is now starting its 2010 spring season with recording sessions on the theme of musicals, traditional spring concerts in April and spring singing on Walpurgis Eve. In May the 50th anniversary of the death of Hugo Alfvén will be commemorated, while the spring's last regular program, Serenade, in June, will feature actor Michael Nyqvist.
